DAY 28

In the evening around 8pm, we were all brought to the Club building for our Interaction Night. We had games and performance by Np students and the local students. It was an enjoyable night prepared by the local students

It was very nice that the local students actually plan something for us. This is definitely a perfect gifts for all of us coming to a foreign country to study :D

DAY 27

MUSCLES ACHING!!!! OH MY TIAN! From my bed, to my door, the distance is only a few steps, but I got difficulties on that!

Okay, we had our IS lesson in the noon. Before that we accompany the local students to the near-by supermarkets to buy foods and drinks for tomorrow’s exchange programme (: Aftermath we went for lunch. AND THEN,WE WERE LATE FOR OUR IS LESSON. ULTRA SUPER DUPER OMEGA LATE~ feel so guilty when I saw papa Loh shaking his head.

DAY 25 AND 26

Wake up early in the morning and prepare to go WU DANG SHAN.

As usual, for weekend trip, once we reached that place, we will have our lunch.

Lunch was normal. Just eat what we are given. :x

Stacking bag UP UP UP and prepare to walk up stairs :D

After a long and tiring day, we finally had our DINNER!

Weather was so cold in Wu Dang Shan that I always borrow thermal wear from hab hab :D

As guess what, I SAW VEGETARIAN FOODS IN WUHAN! LIKE-FINALLY-ONLY!

But this WUDANG TAOIST VEGETARIAN CULTURAL EXPERIENCE CENTER really disappoints me D:

BECAUSE they sell meet inside. Is different from its signboard! 挂羊头卖狗肉!

SICKENING!!!

Dinner was fine, the hostel was not-so-okay, Because my bed and pillow smell horrible. Lucky is only for one night. :D

The next day morning we went for hiking! The hiking makes me walked up 6000plus steps of stairs up and 6000plus steps of stairs down. At first all walked up together, some got tired, and rest, other chiong all the way up. But I’m grateful that my friends didn’t abandon me :D when I reached the summit, it gives me a sense of achievement.

REFLECTIONS: climbing up Wu Dang Shan is not as easy as it thoughts. I feel like giving up half way as it is really ultra tiring. Friends around me encouraged me and I persevered (: this is only one of the minor challenges in life, in the future, there will be more to come. What makes life interesting are challenges and life will definitely be more meaningful when we overcome all the challenges on our own. Because of all these challenges, life is never going to be easy (:

DAY 24

INTERACTION DAY(: We gathered and set off to an orange plantation.

The oranges here, either ripe or unripe, their color will still remain GREEN~

All of us are inexperience in plucking SWEET oranges, most of the oranges we pluck, are sourrrr, super sour!

Finally one decent photo, with all of us inside (: awesome 20 (:

In the evening, as usual, the boys have theirs soccer match…

Singapore VS China :D

But the match was kind of boring…

REFLECTION: This is my first time to a plantation. Unlike Singapore, this place is more country side feeling, quiet and comfortable.

DAY 22

K singing with the locals :D I guess this will be the first and the last time I’m entering China KTV.

Group photos before we set off (:

Their KTV are actually quite nice. The local students insisted to give all of us a treat, thus we decided to give ‘em a treat before we leave Wuhan (:

When we got back to hostel, enqi and me decided to COOK :D

Actually the spaghetti doesn’t really taste nice, but shouldn’t be choosy ._. I remember every time I reach home late, and never had my dinner, my parents will ask me whether I want to eat or not. But now in China, I don’t have my awesome parents with me D:

Tuesday, October 5, 2010

DAY 21

COMMON TEST! I can’t stop to worry about my result, even though I’m just aiming a pass. Especially when everyone says ‘THE PAPER IS EASYYYYY’, my heart sank D: well, well, well, it over, don’t ponder anymore.

After CT, some of us when to guang gu(again) for shopping and food! First, we have Mac for lunch…

Then we have PIZZA for dinner!

Woot~! SUPER DUPER DUPER FATTENING!

Sunday, October 3, 2010

DAY 19

WENT TO BU XING JIE FOR SHOPPINGS! Nothing much…

The most shocking scene and the only thing I can remember is one china lady was fighting with a security guard. From our tour guild, he says that the women are selling balloons, and it is illegal to do that. At first, the security guard asked the lady to stop selling, but the lady didn’t take his advice. Thus the guard used something sharp and pokes all the balloons. The lady got frustrated and starts hitting the guard! They were shouting at each other on the street!

In Singapore, we don’t see anyone will see things illegally on the street. Because, if he/she does that, the very next minute, policemen will turn up in front of him/her.

Saturday, October 2, 2010

DAY 18

WUHAN CITY TOUR :D First, we went to Hubei Provincial Museum (: and we saw world class TOILET!

Actually is just a normal toilet like what we always see in Singapore, but is like clean toilet, with toilet bowl is very rare in china :x

The Museum has a large collection of 200,000 cultural relics (Pottery, porcelains, jade, bronze vessels, ancient weapons and ancient musical instruments)

Next, we went to biggest scenery tourist attraction in Wuhan, also the largest lake within a city in China. It is located at the south bank of the Yangtze River.

After the city tour, we went to 小吃街.

The foods were kind of expensive over there. Maybe is because is a place mainly for tourists. And I only have potatoes for my lunch! Awwww~!

Aftermath, we went to Yellow Crane Tower (黄鹤楼).

Reflections: today’s tour is definitely an enriching one. Stories behind these historical sites are very interesting and new to most of us. Some of the stories are told to us when we were in primary and secondary school, and here we are standing where the stories took place. Amazing right? Sometimes is just hard to believe that the history book of China is just right in front of my eyes.

Friday, October 1, 2010

DAY 17

BRAND NEW MONTH (: EXAM result’s out! Happy to say, I PASSEDDD! In the evening, we went to a different stall to have our dinner! An unpleasant dinner! Because foods are super oily and dirty! Insects and hairs are found in the rice!

After we told them to change the rice for us, we heard the boss scolded his staffs, makes us feel so guilty complaining. But I think that in FNB, hygiene is definitely important. And I don’t see the local practicing hygiene D:

And none of us dare to touch the rice even though they changed a new bowl of rice for us. We didn’t really had a filling meal too D: bad experience!

Thursday, September 30, 2010

DAY 16

Felt better (: So we decided to go to guang gu to have pizza :D

Dinner was awesome! The most awesome meal in china! After dinner, we wanted to take van back to hostel, but most of the uncles dun want to drive us, and some charged us at a very high price! SOME DON’T EVEN KNOW HOW TO GO! Is because Wuhan is too big? In the end we called another uncle, whom drove us back to hostel from guang gu(the first time we went). he is super kind, because is kinda late, and he had already knock off, BUT, he came out to drive us back to hostel :D 温情满人间(:

Wednesday, September 29, 2010

DAY15

ATE MEAT BY ACCIDENT TODAY! Spit it out! But still feel !@#$%^&*()_ ): it was tiny tiny meat! I think the cook didn’t wash his pot before he cook my dish D: And the worst is I vomited after that! Unlucky day for me D: and after that, I start to cough, sneeze and down with mild fever!

Back in spore, when I fall sick, there will be family who will be there to look after u, but in china, friends have to rely on each other, take care of each other.

Tuesday, September 28, 2010

DAY 14

Rain rain go away, come again another day! It had been raining the whole day! FULL DAY LECTURE!! At night, I had dinner with the year one guys and 2 local students (:

From the local students, they say that they seldom have dinner with so many people. In WUST, people don’t go out in a big group. They only go out in pairs, and reason is because the more people in a group, they will be more indecisive on where to eat, where to go etc… but to me, I feel that the more people eating together, the merrier it is!

Okay, back to hostel, I thought our internet should be fixed already! BUT, it was still not fixed! Cant the IT people be more efficient? It already the 2nd week!!! I want Skype so badlyyyy!

Monday, September 27, 2010

DAY 13

2ND IS LESSON

AND IT WAS AWESOME!

DAY 10, 11, AND 12

Woke up at 10 plus to get ready for 3D2N cruise :D THE BUS RIDE WAS 5 HOURS D: the ride was horrible, cause is cramp and small. When we reached there, we went to a near-by supermarket and bought some foods and have our dinner (:

Look at my heart shaped egg at the lower right hand corner :DDD

After dinner, we prepare to go on board, everyone is sooooo excited because is a 4 STARS CRUISE :DDD so, by right a 4STARS cruise shld have entertainment, big beds etc… but that is not trueeee. The bed was harder than hostel’s bed, one and only entertainment. That’s all!

The pathway to cruise in Wuhan is different compared to Singapore. The pathway leading to the cruise doesn’t make me feel like I’m going to a 4 stars cruise. It seems like going to an ‘ulu ulu’ kampong area. :x

‘Never judge a book from its cover’ ._. The appearance of the cruise seems CMI (cannot make it), but interior is nice! :D

See, is nice right? (:

But, the worst part had yet to come. MY TOILET DOOR CANT LOCK! BED IS HARDDDDD! AND NO HEATER! D: I didn’t bring my towel too! So I have to buy. The quality of the towel is !@#$%^&*()_ The towel can’t even absorb water D:

But overall, the experience is nice (:

The history behind 3 gorges dam is something I find it interesting. In Singapore, we don’t have a lot of chances to learn about the past. Unlike in china, maybe is because of it have a long history. That’s why I find this weekend tour is enriching (:

And at this tour, I saw Corlissa (: She is one of my ‘veggies’ friends! So coincidence :D I guess we are in the same situation, only egg, veggie and tofu every day. But she says’ at least we got something to fill our stomach :D’.

.

.

.

The next day we went to 神农溪 .

The tickets are attracting all our attention! HAHAHHAHS!

To reach 神农溪,we have to change to another boat and to a small ‘sampan’. Each small ‘sampan’ needs around 5men to row. AND THEY ONLY EARN 25RMB PER TRIP!! The weather is soooo cold and their clothing is so thin. D:

Thus all of us agreed to give them tips.

At that moment, I feel that I’m so blessed living in Singapore, a developed country. I got nothing to worried about; just make sure I do well in academic. But in china, people have to worry for their daily life… WOOT~! IM SO FORTUNATEEEEE :D

Okay, back to cruise. We played board game! Because the cruise that we are on have nothing at all!

Tada! SABOTEUR!

.

.

.

At night, we went to 白蒂城. I think this place should be visited in the day time. Because when we go in the night time, is too dark, we can’t see the scenery D:

And I don’t feel nice when I step inside, maybe I’m being too sensitive. But I think it is eerie D: however, I do learn a lot from this trip, more about the china history, eg. 诸葛亮 (a super duper smart guy in the history).

Okay, that marks the end of day 2!

The next day we went to Three Gorges Project (:

After finish all the sightseeing, I bought 土豆 (potatoes) again! I think the taste is A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!!! (:

But some find it normal, but this is the best food for me :x cause I don’t have much choices ._.

.

.

.

End of weekend sightseeing :D

DAY 9

As usual, had lesson in the morning, and AS USUAL, WE ARE LATE! ._. Weather is cold!

Lesson till 1pm! And the whole class meet up at 2pm to go shopping at guang gu together (: All of us went there by a mini van, and they call it 黑车in Chinese. One mini van and take up to 10 people. From the uncle who drove us there, he told us that this transportation is illegal! BUT I can see this kind of transportation is common is China!

When we reached the shopping mall, all of us split into a smaller group. Enqi, ken, ruixiang, shiquan and me went to look for JIANUO (local student), a girl we met during the exchange programme.

The shopping mall was very huge! After shopping for a few hours, we only finished the ¼ parts of the shopping mall. So u can imagine how huge it was!! (: We had Japanese food for dinner. Compared to Singapore price, I guess it is counted as cheap. The foods make me feel like I’m back in Singapore.

6 people ONLY cost 296YUAN, convert to sing dollar is around 59dollars! OH-MY-GOD, worth it right! :DD After dinner, we took the mini van back to hostel again, and guess what we see?

.

.

.

DA TA! WE SAW PIZZA HUT!!! :D all of us agreed to go over to guang gu again to have this! (: We took the mini van back to school. When we reach school, all of us(year 1 and 2) went to release Kong Ming Deng. Putting Kong Ming Deng in China is one of their customs during mid autumn festival.

Preparing… busy writing our wishes down (:

Our wishes on the Kong Ming Deng (:

Everyone is so excited in putting this lantern (: wanted to buy some back to Singapore for family and friends. But I don’t think Singapore will allow this. When all the lanterns are all up into the sky, is really beautiful:D From what I know, in the past, Kong Ming Deng only comes in white colour. And the wishes are written using Chinese ink (:

DAY 8

Yesterday was 36 degree, AND TODAY WAS 16 DEGREE!! OMG~! SUPER DUPER DUPER COLD! Lesson end at 1pm :D had lunch with Enqi, Ruixiang, Shiquan and ken! A bowl of hot soup is definitely awesome during cold weather! (:

Back in Singapore, we always complaint about Singapore weather. NOW, in Wuhan, we also complaint about the cold weather. Maybe we are not being gratified…

OH YA, 中秋节快乐!(:
