Had our VERY FIRST IS lesson, History of China. The lecturer for this IS class is the local lecturer, thus the way he speak is slightly different from Singapore’s lecturers. I feel that the lesson was dry and boring because lesson was taught in a more ‘local’ way. In Singapore, power point slides are all in points form for us to understand better, get those important points down fast. In china, power point slides = whole chunk of words! I had to read it a few times to understand what the lecturer is is talking about. AND I don’t have enough time to copy down all the important points! D: BUT, I think that some of the things taught is quite useful and interesting. Example, 五常，仁，义，礼，智，信。。。 these are some of the things that we don’t learn in Singapore.
